India’s first citizen’s club

You want to know what is important about Gandhiji, or about the damage caused by recent floods, or about diwali or even about which cockroach repellant really works, you have to necessarily get the opinion of the first citizens club of india, the actors, politicians and the cricketers, the APC club… welcome to India today.
APC is the first class citizenry of this country.they know it all ,it seems.they do it all it seems.suddenly the barometer for measuring anything, be it the not so important things as personal success,growth, happiness, or to the more significant couture quotient, undergarments comfort, or even more eclectic things like benefits of being size “0”you have to necessarily go by the opinion of this troika.
I have nothing against, this hallowed troika, it just is difficult if I am bludgeoned with their images, and opinions and ideas telling me and the other “common” citizens of india what to do and what not to and whats’ s good for u and whats not and why we should celebrate Gandhi jayanthi and why not and why its important for us to vote and vote not……
Lamenting is not my style,but is it too much to hope and expect that may be I just want to read an article by M J akbar on the front page of my newspaper instead of reading about rakhi and her hellish sorry elesh jo bhiwala, is it too much to want to see the picture of devastation of the floods instead of extemely significant picture of politicians walking the ramp for a "good cause", or to just want, may be a dr.devi shetty telling me which cooking oil is good for my heart, instead of MSD or sachin selling everything from bournvita, to hair oil to what not.is it too much to switch on the television and expect to hear news, instead of panel discussions with the who is who of the members of the political class contradicting themselves from one news channel to another or from one news bulletin to the next.at the end of the day I want to know what is happening in my country and in my world, I want to be able to make my own decisions and choices and I do not want this FC club, and their friends in media to tell me my world is now filled with this class alone, their food habits, to clothes to fitness routines to why what they chant has to and should be the national mantra and that my friends and colleagues, nagamma my maid, biju my driver and yours truly do not belong or is it that they do not matter…..in the current times of india.......
